Every Thursday I will be choosing and posting a TED Talk that I think should be shared with you. I will not go at length about the benefits of it; they speak for themselves! Instead, I will provide you with the quick presentation blurb for it from TED Talk. You take it from here! This week, the TED Talk I choose to share with you is:
“Finding the Story Inside the Painting“
with Tracy Chevalier
When Tracy Chevalier looks at paintings, she imagines the stories behind them: How did the painter meet his model? What would explain that look in her eye? Why is that man … blushing? She shares three stories inspired by portraits, including the one that led to her best-selling novel “Girl With a Pearl Earring.”
I have always loved looking at painting/artwork and imagining elaborate stories behind them but not quite like Tracy Chevalier does (although her way/perspective is definitely something I will experiment with). I’ll come back that dear reader… Going to look at some art now. Enjoy the TED Talk!
