Avery’s Fantastical Tales: Chapter Six: The Ranger

            Theirs was a solitary life, this mission of patience and watching. Moose-kind moved as a silent witness, their memory was long and how they longed for the days of yor when their domain knew no bounds. Alas, those days were many, many generations past.

            The mission had not changed. So, they waited, each of those left in Moose-Kind was charged to maintain the land and that it flourished. For this, the outcasts hunted them. The war among the Animal Realm and the Outcasts was ceaseless and none was without their casualties. Moose-kind could not afford to be among their own, and so still, they waited.
